Canterbury Roman Museum

The Canterbury Roman Museum is underground, at the same level as the Roman town itself. Located in Longmarket on butchery Lane this is well worth a visit. You can't miss the museum with its beautiful columns.

A generous mix of excavated items and reconsturctions you get a real feel of what Canterbury was like hundreds of years ago. Reconstructions include a Roman market place, with a shoe maker, fabric seller and fruit and vegetable stall.
