Canterbury Weather
Ok, we all know that the UK is renowned for its variable weather and Canterbury weather is just the same. But it's not really as bad as many would like to make out. This summer, 2009, has already been an absolutely wonderful summer thus far; and we are set for more great weather over the next few months. As Canterbury is in the South East of England, we do tend to get the better weather within the UK. Having said that, do bring an umbrella just in case, we would not want your stay over here to be ruined by the weather. The average temperatures in the UK are as follows; these are in degrees C
Jan - Mar Between 0-10 To get a more accurate and up to date check on the weather over the next few days, try this link to the Met Office So what should I pack to prepare for Canterbury Weather?I have put together a list of essentials you may wish to consider, dependent on the time of year that you are planning to visit us. Jan to Mar It will be a bit chilly at the beginning of the year and there is a good possibility of snow, so i would recommend a warm waterproof jacket and jumpers. Mar to Jun Spring moving to summer tends to means one thing in the UK- rain, so pack an anorak, or umbrella, and you will need both warm and cool clothes. This time of year is quite variable and you can be greeted with a lovely warm May day, or a pretty cold April shower. Jun to Sept A lovely warm time of year, you may need an umbrella but pack your shorts and t-shirt, but have a jumper on standby - just in case! Sept to Dec We start to get a bit chillier now, pack for warmer, wetter days and nights and, especially towards Dec, you may want a warm coat. |
