Ebury Hotel
The Ebury Hotel Is a great hotel in a lovely location. Its set a short walk from the center of town and boast two acres of grounds that residents are invited to use as well as an indoor pool. A hotel with ample parking which usually comes at a premium in Canterbury it means you can leave the car at the hotel and ejoy the 10 minute scenic walk into the city center. Its located on the New Dover Road which is one of my favorite parts of Canterbury. It feels like you have stepped back in time as you drive up the road with some of the most beautiful buildings lining it and frankly its worth the walk to the Center to stay in this hotel.
A family run business, this hotel has won its place in the good hotel guide. The hotel business has run through this family for three generations so you are guranteed a great stay in a lovely environment Decorated in a traditional Imperial style if you are looking for a traditional English stay, then this will fulfil your needs. Its a great place to take the family, inlcuing the four legged variety as they are animal friendly and have a dog of their own. Charlie the Labradoodle who is the owner's dog even boasts his own webpage on their site. However if you are allergic to dogs, a Labaradoodle is actually bred to prevent allergies and fur loss so you won't suffer you just get to enjoy his company if you like Food The reatraurant serves Anglo french food prepared by Chef Mr Jean-Pierre Cabrol, they serve breakfast and lunch dinner but no lunch, however there are loads of great places in Canterbury that you can get your lunch from, check out my Restaurants Page for ideas Gardens and Pool
Once you have enjoyed the delights of Canterbury you can relax in the beautiful two acres of Gardens or the fantastic indoor pool they have. Infact I was so impressed with the pool I am actually thinking about taking out a residents membership so I can be a local who uses their pool. It was so warm and clean I have to say it is one of the best pools in Canterbury. So if you want a comfortable stay in a traditional imperial well run family hotel, within walking distance of the City Center then the Ebury Hotel is a must, it really is one of my favorite places and beats hotels within the city walls.
