Howletts Canterbury

Located a 15 minute drive from Canterbury, Howletts Canterbury is a great day out for all the family. Set up by the late John Aspinal, this wildlife park's main objective is the protection and breeding of endangered species.

Howletts Canterbury

Howletts boasts the UK's largest herd of African elephants, a black rhino breeding sanctuary and you can even walk with lemurs. There are glass fronted enclosure so you can get up close with tigers, gorillas and leopards to name but a few of the delights that can be seen here.

My personal favorite are the gorillas, you can get really close to them and see them interacting as a family group.

You can check out what to expect at the Howletts link
