Traveling by Rail - My guides on how to get here by Train

Canterbury is served by two railway stations, so traveling by rail to come and see us is pretty simple. Under 2 hours from London and only 20 minutes from Ashford International station, there are loads of options to come and see us by train.

Domestic Trains

Getting to Canterbury by Train If you are traveling from London, trains depart from Cannon Street, Charing Cross and London Bridge to get off Canterbury West. Alternatively you can depart London from London Victoria to arrive at Canterbury East station. Both stations are within walking distance of the Canterbury City Walls and some of the great hotels.

Eurostar

You can pick up the Eurostar from Lille, Paris, Brussels and Bruges and travel comfortably by train to Ashford. Within a short, 20 minute, connection from Ashford International station you can be in Canterbury.

The Eurostar is an incredibly comfortable and quick way to travel to the UK. I highly recommend it having used it as part of my journey to see family in Germany. You have the choice of three classes:

Business Premier, which affords you complimentary Parking, Business lounges at the station, wireless internet connection in the carriage, spacious seats, complimentary newspapers, meals and drink.

Leisure Select provides all the above with the exception of the parking, internet and lounges.

Standard class will give you options to purchase food from the on board buffet. There are more details at the Eurostar website.
