Traveling by Road - The best routes to come and visit our wonderful City

It's really easy to reach us if you are traveling by road to Canterbury, as we are situated just off the A2, as it runs from London, to Dover and the coast.

The directions by road, if you are arriving to the country by air, are on my traveling by air page. If you are coming by road within the UK, I would recommend that you use a route planner. My choice is The AA Route Planner

Channel Tunnel

Should you be driving from Europe by car, one of the options is to take the Channel Tunnel from Calais to Folkestone. The journey time to Folkestone is only 35 minutes and then follow signs for Canterbury as you exit the Folkestone terminal. There is more info on the Channel Tunnel at the Channel Tunnel website.
