Whitstable Oyster Festival 24th July to 30th July 2010


Situated about 5 miles from Canterbury the Whitstable Oyster Festival is an annual event that celebrates a great history. If you are a lover of food, history and celebrations then you will love this great event

A well know eccentric event that is especially great for kids with activties such as Crab catching and Grotter Day and if you like to get mucky then the Mud Tug and Oyster Eating competitions celebrate the messy and riotous. There are also a variety of walks and demonstrations that tell you all about the wonderful cultural heritage of this wonder fishing town.
